How to Set the Clock in a Honda

Whether you’re going on a road trip in a different time zone or you’ve experienced daylight savings recently, the time on the clock in your Honda vehicle might not be accurate. How to Set the Clock in a Honda of a Particular Model Year

Whether you’ve just bought yourself a brand-new Honda model or a quality pre-owned one near Clearfield, you can reset the clock time in just several steps. Here are the steps on how to set the clock in a Honda depending on its model year:  

2022 – 2024 Honda Models

For models with a seven-inch color touchscreen:

1. Press the MENU button.
2. Select Clock Settings.
3. Select Automatic Time, then select OFF.
4. Select Set Time.
5. Select 12H/24H to change the 12 or 24 hour clock.
6. Select the up or down arrow.
7. Select Set to set the time.   

For models with a nine-inch color touchscreen:

1. Press the Home button.
2. Select General Settings.
3. Select System.
4. Select Date & Time.
5. Select Automatic Date & Time, then select OFF.
6. Select Set Date or Set Time.
7. Select the up or down arrow.
8. Select Save to set the date or time.

Note: The audio system receives signals from GPS satellites, updating the clock automatically. 

2016-2021 Honda Models

For non-touchscreen models:

1. Press and hold the Menu/Clock button.
2. Turn the selector knob to change hours.
3. Press the knob to switch to minutes and turn it once again to toggle through minutes.
4. Click set to finalize the time.

For touchscreen models: 

1. Select Home from the home screen of your infotainment system.
2. Go to Settings, go to Clock, and go to Clock Adjustment.
3. Adjust the time and then hit OK.

2012-2015 Honda Models

1. Turn on the ignition.
2. Hold down the clock stem (on the instrument panel left of the steering wheel).
3. Turn the stem to change house and press the stem down to shift to the minute changing mode. Then, turn the stem once more to change minutes.
4. Press the stem once more to finalize your new time.

2006-2011 Honda Models

1. Turn on the ignition.
2. Press and hold the Clock button until the time begins to blink.
3. Click the Preset 1 button to change the hour and the Preset 2 button to change the minute.

1998-2005 Honda Models

1. Turn on the ignition.
2. Press and hold the Clock button until you hear a beep from your stereo. The clock should start flashing.
3. Use Preset 4 to change the hour and Preset 5 to change the minute.
4. Once again, press and hold the Clock button to finalize the new time.
